The Municipality of Agiou Georgiou is located in the north western corner of the island, approximately 35km from Corfu town and the airport. The most popular beach resort in the municipality of Agiou Georgiou is the resort of Agios Georgios. This is due to the picturesque views that are available from its sunken location. Neighbouring resorts include the popular beach resort of Arillas, which is surrounded by lush valley, olive groves, and of course, beautiful sandy beaches. In addition the traditional village of Afionas offers and uniqueness in Greek culture unlike any other in the area.  

From the port in Aghiou Stefanou, you can take a boat to the tiny neighbouring islands of Mathraki, Othoni, and Erikoussa, each owning a charm and history of their own.  In addition, buses regularly leave for Corfu town, where one can easily spend the day shopping, drinking coffee at a local kafeneion, or visiting one of the several museums that are prevalent in the islands biggest town.
